Covered front porch

Porches

Porch floors that take weather and daily foot traffic

The same system we install in garages: a diamond-ground slab, an epoxy or polyurea base, a full flake broadcast, and a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat.

What you get

What a Final Finish outdoor floor includes

Full flake broadcast

Flake is broadcast to refusal across the entire slab, then scraped flat, so the floor reads as one continuous surface.

UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat

The topcoat is the layer that faces the weather. We specify a UV-stable polyaspartic for floors that sit outdoors.

Coated edges and steps

We coat the edges and any step or landing, so the floor does not stop in a raw concrete line at the front of the house.

Long-Term Warranties

A written warranty on the system. Ask what is covered for your slab at the consultation.

What changes on a porch

A porch is covered, and still an exterior floor

These are the four things we plan around before we quote a porch.

Covered, but still outdoors

Shade is not shelter. A porch still sees humidity, wind-blown rain and temperature swings, so we treat it as an exterior floor.

Concentrated foot traffic

A porch takes the whole household crossing a small area. A full flake broadcast under a polyaspartic topcoat is what holds up to that.

The oldest concrete on the house

Porch slabs are usually the most weathered concrete you own. We grind flat, repair, and cover edge to edge.

Edges, steps and landings

Edges are where an outdoor floor looks unfinished. We carry the coating over the step and the landing.

The process

Six steps, start to finish

Most installs take one to two days. Walk on it in 4 hours, drive on it in 24.

  1. 01

    Inspect & measure

Concrete condition and a moisture test, measured on site.

  2. 02

    Diamond grind

We grind the slab to open the profile so the base can bond.

  3. 03

    Repair

Cracks, pits and spalled edges filled and shaped.

  4. 04

    Base coat

A UV-stable polyaspartic base outdoors. A vapor barrier goes under it if moisture readings run high.

  5. 05

    Full flake

Flake broadcast to refusal across the whole floor, then scraped.

  6. 06

    Topcoat & walkthrough

Polyaspartic topcoat, then we walk the finished floor with you.

Colors

Flake blends

Blends are chosen at the consultation against your house and the light the slab gets.
